Hello everyone!

My name is David Buller and I just joined ASA a couple of days ago. I am
thorougly impressed with the goals of this fellowship and the
Christ-likeness of its members. I look forward to learning more and
contributing whenever I can! I just got my first issue of PSCF and I am
thoroughly enjoying it!

I am 17 years old and a homeschooled senior in high school. This fall I
will be a student at Bob Jones University majoring in Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology. After that, I plan to get my doctorate in Microbiology
or some related field. (Any suggestions for grad school?)

As for my beliefs, I am a conservative Baptist. I accept the scientific
evidences for the age of the earth, and believe that evolution most likely
served a large part in God's creation of His universe. I am very interested
in researching this further, however. As you may have guessed, my church
(which I am quite active in) would certainly disagree with the conclusions
that I have reached. I enjoy all such issues that have strong ties to both
science and the Scriptures.

I thoroughly agree with Augustine's statement, "In essentials, unity. In
nonessentials, diversity. And in all things, charity." I have read some of
the archives and am impressed with how the ASA members act out this
philosophy. I will certainly plan on being as active as I can in the
group. I imagine I will also have a great number of questions, and I will
try to keep up once I start at BJU!

Thank you all very much, and I look forward to the discussions!
