Gadzooks! The ENTIRE POST was hermeneutical reasons. Denis, for one, saw this,
and posted a well reasoned reply. How on earth did you miss it? Read it once
again, note the theologians and biblical passages cited, and the conclusions
drawn. These are "reasons."

This is precisely the sort of view the Hebrews had no concept of (in the
context of Genesis 1). Fixing up? Not only is that not found in Gen. 1, it is
unsupported anywhere else in Scripture.

I have cited biblical passages supporting my view. Do you have any which
support this "fixing up" view of Adam's creation?
