I have problems with this response.

A)Where is your Biblical proof that Adam is the first human?

Genesis 2:7, I guess. The overwhelming majority of Jews and Christians
through the centuries have interpreted the verse to mean that Adam was the
first human. As I am sure you know, Dick's interpretation, although
    interesting, is a minority opinion

B)Where is your historical proof disproving Dick's work?

Well , I was not trying to disprove Dick's work, I was trying to answer
    Mike's question

C)What difference does it make if there were humans before Adam?

None at all , IF you accept Dick's presuppositions

    >I feel that humans must have known of God ( or the gods) prior to c.
    >4000BC.

D)What Bible have these humans written?
E)Can their religion claim 2 billion current people?

I could go on, but I've already answered these questions for myself.
I just don't people to be misled by the connotations of your reply
(not that you intended the connotation, Shuan).

Why, thank you, Jim. Maybe one day you will tell me what connotations I
meant. It's always nice to have other people tell me what I thought. Maybe
you will even start telling me what TO think.Tell you what, Jim. Why don't
you just let other people figure it out for themselves. After all, there are
plenty of bright people on this list serv, some with PhDs and everything. I
think they can figure me out just fine.

Moreover, since Dick apparently did not feel a need to defend himself,
there is no need for you to pick up that heavy load. After all, Dick seems
quite capable of defending himself and I am sure he would have if he found
anything I said objectionable. In short, take a chill pill. And welcome
    back.
