About Hugh Ross (RTB):
Hugh Ross was here- saw him last Saturday night here in Portland Oregon.
I asked a question about DNA evidence for evolution. I was
disappointed. A major part of his answer was "wait and see" as the next
year should bring discoveries that prove some of these models wrong
(RTB, evolutary models, YEC models, etc).
I was disappointed overall. He only had time for about 30 min. of Q&A--
barely scratched the surface. And he went on and on about a global
warning question that was a good answer, but I don't think even relevant
to the "origin's issues".
I wish I could have a dialogue with him on the DNA evidence for ape-like
to man evolution. I had the recent ASA journal article with me that
mentioned all the lines of DNA evidence for this (jumping genes, etc.).
Anyway- it was nice seeing him in person.

This is consistent with his response on this question from his "Answers"
book. The last question is this and he attempts to offer an explanation
for it by saying that some believe in the "Appearance of Age" theory but
he himself admits that it is unsatisfactory since that makes God looks
deceptive.
He concludes in his book with very similar language as this that we
really just don't know and have to trust. This really was unconvcing to
me as this was the first book I read when I was searching out this issue
and this lack of response on this issue was instrumental in leading me
away from YEC to the RTB position.
Thanks
John
