...... "even more so to offspring"... Aye -- this all makes good sense,
to be sure. But when Christianity turns all this on its head -- then
that's hard to reconcile with natural selection! Loving family is
required, yes, but loving the stranger who is least likely or able to
pay you back -- this is what Jesus really commends. The further removed
from you the more commendable. And if it's an enemy you are kind to,
then finally, you are partaking of the Father's holiness (who, after
all, sends sun and rain on both the righteous and the wicked.) If
natural selection was the only rule in town, then disciples following
after Jesus shouldn't be around very long at all! What have all the
hyperventilating atheists got their britches in such a bunch about?!
