I'm taking all bets right now from those whom Stalin called "useful
idiots", who actually don't believe that an attempt will be made to
tax them because they breath CO-2 into the atmosphere. Of course
this will only apply to those who have no right to a higher standard
of living merely because they make good choices in life and/or live
in affluent societies. Let's face it - confidence men know they
can't get blood out of a turnip. (They HAVE found a good use for the
"turnips", however. They set themselves up as the brokers between the
guilt-ridden affluent and the turnips from whom the affluent can
purchase "carbon credits" ("indulgences") - from ... [you guessed it]).
And guess what you get when you tax / raise the cost of
something. YES!!! You get less of it!
Yes, friends, the "arguments" used by Paul Ehrlich and the Gaia
religion
-http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1809641/posts who have
been clamoring for population control for over 30 years will be used
to excuse taxing each kid, pet, and farm animal you have. And no
doubt you will be forced to buy carbon credits from wild animals (who
are "protected" by the eco-nut cases).
Just wait and see.
The one thing that confidence men [in religion and politics] know is
that their "marks" (who are easily spotted, by the way) - those who
fall for their schemes - will never listen to advice from the
circumspect who will tell them to ask the one question which will
save them from harm, and that is this, "what will be the possible
consequences if I take this action?"
The vacuous, but "good-intentioned", prefer to attempt to absolve
themselves from any responsibility for bad decisions by just standing
around later and talking about the "unintended" consequences. If
they didn't outnumber the rest of us, we wouldn't have to suffer
"their" consequences right along with them.
You can read about some of them below.
Global Warming has made moralists out of those who used to ridicule
morality http://tinyurl.com/3ot79
"...In all honesty, this should scare the heck out of everyone. This
is an atmosphere in which scientific inquiry is steered not by
factual truth, but by a pre-ordained "moral" position. What is at
work here is exactly what the liberals have always claimed to
condemn. How is this any different from the decree of a radical
theocratic dictator who will allow only those scientific conclusions
which are approved by his church? The liberals always claimed that
such behavior - allowing moral considerations to trump factual ones -
was the ultimate evil. But apparently, even this "ultimate evil"
becomes "acceptable strategy" if the cause is justified. This is
"liberal moral relativism" taken to a whole new level."
Those who have always told you that you "cannot legislate morality"
are using gullible, guilt-ridden religious people to help them
legislate "morality".
"...And Hayek http://jim.com/hayek.htm had it right long ago too:
"Hayek's challenge was to argue that German Nazism was not an
aberrant "right-wing" perversion growing out of the "contradictions"
of capitalism. Instead, the Nazi movement had developed out of the
"enlightened" and "progressive" socialist and collectivist ideas of
the pre-World War I era, which many intellectuals in England and the
United States had praised and propagandized for in their own
countries." http://tinyurl.com/32zffv
In The Road to Serfdom he wrote: "The principle that the end
justifies the means is in individualist ethics regarded as the denial
of all morals. In collectivist ethics it becomes necessarily the
supreme rule. "However, as Hayek says "It is important not to confuse
opposition against this kind of planning with a dogmatic
laissez-faire attitude".

~ Janice ...."For [fill in the name of any dictator], true
Christianity has meant little more than exploiting gullible leftist
church groups in the West for its own chicanery and brutality." [One
