amounts of YEC and ID literature of all sorts. As I unravelled any
scientific argument in them (had to be geology as that is my field) I
found that they were ALWAYS marked by inaccuracies , misquotation
misrepresentation etc. Further no correction is ever listened to.
Hence the root problem is moral and nothing else."

My own take is that they (and I refer primarily to Duane Gish and
Henry Morris, with whom I have broken bread) are so blinded by their
worldview that they literally cannot see the problems nor the
inaccuracies they use.

When I was a sysop on Compuserve about a decde ago, the term "liars
for Jesus" was frequently applied to them. When one does not tell the
truth, it may be a lie -- it may not be.

I can think of no reason either Gish or Morris would lie
deliberately. In a few years I'll have an opportunity to explore this
subject more deeply with both of them.
