the ASA email list

How is the message below at all related to issues of science and Christianity? Blatant name calling and labelling of groups of people like this is absurd, not to mention completely off-topic.

I am very tired of the ASA list being used in this manner; it has been abused lately by some individuals. The number of posts in the last month that have nothing to do with the purpose of the list has been quite large; further, some individuals have no concept of the "4 posts per day" "rule". The spam on this list has gotten out of hand. I have complained to the list manager in private before, but have seen very little change in the way people behave on this list. The rare gem of a post from thoughtful individuals and the complete lack of any other options for general science & Christianity email discussions are the only things that keep me subscribed to this list.

Please do my inbox a favor and limit yourselves to a couple of thoughtful and on-topic posts a day.

Best,
Charles

"To a naturalist nothing is indifferent;
the humble moss that creeps upon the stone
is equally interesting as the lofty pine which so beautifully adorns the valley or the mountain:
but to a naturalist who is reading in the face of the rocks the annals of a former world,
the mossy covering which obstructs his view,
and renders indistinguishable the different species of stone,
is no less than a serious subject of regret."

Janice must be joking. Today's conservatives are anything but open to new ideas and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others.
Her unjustified name calling shows all the evidence that contradicts her own statement. Thanks Janice, I too love irony.

War is peace
Equal justice is fascism... 1984's Orwell would have been proud on how conservatives get to redefine the meaning of words.

@ I have news for you. Today's conservatives are yesterday's classic liberals

Today's liberals (who run from the word they originally co-opted to describe themselves by co-opting another word - now calling themselves "progressives") are merely yesterday's Marxist/socialists/commies. The "political correctness" they attempt to enforce on everyone is just fascism by another name.
