Of course every Genesis model seems to have some problems. Two I note from
yours are
1)
Gen 4:19 Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah. 20 Adah
gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise
livestock. 21 His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play
the harp and flute.
Jubal was a descendent of Adam, born after ~6000 years ago. But Glenn has
repeatedly noted that bone flutes dating ~1 million years ago have been found.
-- 2) Getting the ark to its presumed landing site (Jabel Judi or "the mountains of Ararat") Both sites are upstream from the presumed point of embarkation. I don't think poling works, even for the smaller craft that would be needed to transport only the animals found in the garden. -- I find your model more plausible than Glenn's, because I have a difficult time rationalizing the gigantic gaps in genealogies necessary for Glenn's scenario. But (as I am sure you agree) your model could use some refinement. --- Dick Fischer <dickfischer@verizon.net> wrote: > Hi Glenn, you wrote: > > >>Everyone blythly says "it was in the mesopotamian region", but there > is no more evidence of this than there is for the YEC global flood.<< > > I think all that "Yak butter" made your memory slip right out your left > ear.
