Hi Bill, you wrote:

Of course every Genesis model seems to have some problems. Two I note
from
yours are

1)
Gen 4:19 Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah.
20 Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in
tents and raise
livestock. 21 His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all who
play
the harp and flute. Jubal was a descendent of Adam, born after ~6000
years ago. But Glenn has repeatedly noted that bone flutes dating ~1
million years ago have been found.

We get bogged down in Hebrew semantics sometimes. "All" and "every" to
a Hebrew writer is used in the same way we would say "much," many," or
"some." When Joseph was running the show for Pharoah, ".he gathered up
all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt ..."
(Gen. 41:48). Read that to say they saved some food.

Read Genesis to say Jubal was an instructor who taught others to play
the harp and flute, not that Jubal invented the harp and flute. We can
see that from the previous example where we should know that raising
livestock precedes 6,000 ya, and therefore, Jabal wasn't the first to do
it. Remember Abel also raised livestock. And, of course, Abel precedes
Jabal.

2)
Getting the ark to its presumed landing site (Jabel Judi or "the
mountains of
Ararat") Both sites are upstream from the presumed point of embarkation.
I
don't think poling works, even for the smaller craft that would be
needed to
transport only the animals found in the garden.

We don't know how big the boat was. More likely it was a floatilla of
reed baskets lashed together and lined with pitch. We don't know how
many animals he had on board and we don't know where he landed. He may
have had a Sumerian crew who did all the dirty work. Kings and princes
don't normally muck out stables. The same word for mountain in Hebrew
also means "hill." There are hills to the east as well as to the north.

But please keep asking. These are valid questions.
