I think all that "Yak butter" made your memory slip right out your left
ear. Okay, for every one bit of "evidence" for a global flood you can
give I'll give you two for a Mesopotamian flood. Here's my two.
1. The Assyrian king Ashurbanipal said: "I study stone inscriptions
from before the flood, which are obtuse, obscure and confused." A
global flood wouldn't leave any inscriptions to read, and since
handwriting wasn't invented before 6,000 years ago that precludes his
talking about a flood which could have occurred before then.
2. Here is just one example of parallel verses between the Genesis
flood and the Sumerian and Accadian flood stories:
"[The gods smelled] the savor' Atrahasis III,v,34
"The gods smelled the sweet savor" Gilgamesh XI,160
"And the Lord smelled the sweet savor..." Genesis 8:21
I'm ready for your one bit of evidence for a global flood.
