I'm not an Adamite either.  I doubt you are.  God's provision for redemption has changed since OT times.  Before Christ, the key to redemption was to be a member of the covenant line, although proselytes too were acceptable.  Christ touched on this when he said, "Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves" (Matthew 23:15).

When one outside the Jewish faith was brought to the knowledge of God, he became accountable.  Because of false teaching, he was condemned.  This unique status for Israel as God's chosen people was rescinded, or at least modified, at the cross.  Christ was appointed by God as His representative.  The second Adam, Christ, was in the "image of God" (II Cor. 4:4) just as the first Adam, and the mantle was passed to the followers of Christ.

We have blown "in the image of God" into proportions never intended as I see it.  But as followers of Christ, there should be no question that you and I are in God's image.  And all persons are eligible.

Not that anyone cares what I think, but God's A plan was good.  Adam was given the mantle and he was supposed to have brought all humanity into God's kingdom.  Sin intervened.

God's B plan is also good.  Christ succeeded where Adam failed.
