In the web site Jack provided, I found the closing paragraph to be of
    keen interest. It reads:

"Ultimately, the creationists must lose, or at least become as
marginalised as the Flat Earth Society. This won't happen overnight: it
may take a few centuries. But creationism is bad science and bad
religion, and every opportunity must be taken to expose it to the
    ridicule it deserves."

What I am argung these days is that I think the first sentence in the
    above is suspect.

The third sentence is one I can forcefully agree with. But if those of us
who have the opportunity to expose it are content to weave daisy chains
    instead, ... .

only a little can be done." -- Edmund Burke
