    Hi Howard. You wrote:

Why would you say this? I don't feel that I am shouting at all, and you
don't seem to be either. IMy last message contained not a single exclamation
point, no caps (except for acronyms), and no sarcasm. In review of it, I can
find a little I would change, but not much. Its tone seems generally
sensible and plain. It appears I successful addressed specific points you
raised with care and thoughtfullness. Where have I erred? Also, I would very
much like to know if you concur that I succeeded in my argument, and if not,
    why not.

    >We do have substantive theological differences ...

Correct, but that should not cloud our minds to such a degree that we can
not even communicate. I would be delighted for you to force me into a
logical corner and compel me to admit the truth of something I had been
wrong about.. This would be a great service to me, because you would thereby
be removing noxious Weeds of Error from my Garden of Truth! Thus my
"enemies" are my greatest allies. Do you feel the same way about this and
    our common pursuit of Truth?

    >That strikes me as a very delicate balance to try to maintain.

I'm not a biologist, so I certainly could be missing some important points,
but it doesn't *seem* like a delicate point at all. The idea of God
designing adaptive DNA so His creatures could adjust to their environments
makes perfect sense and has been proven beyond all doubt by direct
observation. But it seems to be a *huge* unverified leap to then assert that
such adaptation could lead to new irreducibly complex structures.

    >You are content with picturing God giving being to a universe that is
cosmologically fine tuned but not biologically fine tuned.

Yes, especially since I'm not sure the phrase "biologially fine tuned" is
even meaningful. Could you elaborate a little as to what that is really
    supposed to mean?
