In Exodus 12:40 the reading of the Dead Sea Scrolls is `in the land of
Egypt' (i. e. no mention of Canaan).
The corresponding readings in other texts are:
in Egypt (Masoretic Text),
in the land of Canaan and in the land of Egypt (Samaritan Pentateuch), and
in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan (Septuagint).
