I find this an offensive e-mail. The ASA (like its British counterpart
Christians in Science which I am a member) does not stipulate what its
members should believe and rightly so. The ASA basis of faith does not
exclude YEC and thus some are members and therefore on this list.
Though I hold YEC to be utterly wrong I defend this policy of both the ASA
and CIS. It is also important to be polite and civil to others, as I think
Jesus might want this!
As Christians we lose the argument once we are rude and nasty and perhaps 1
Corinthians 13 is useful here.
Jim. I understand where you are coming from but please stop being so
strident.
