    Steve,

I was asked to prepare two lectures to a mostly conservative Christian
student audience. In fact, one student had petitioned to be a part of the
program because he considered it his "constitutional right" to present a
young-earth creationist alternative to my view. (The request was politely
denied, and the denial was politely accepted.)

I just played my tape of that lecture. A number of peculiarities should be
    noted.

    1. Because of a miscommunication between the lecture organizers and the
videotaping crew, only the first lecture was recorded.

    2. A substantial portion of the first lecture (toward the end, when the
important points were being constructed on the foundation laid earlier) is
    not included in the tape.

    3. Some of the slides that I used to illustrate the second lecture (a
celebration of the robustness of the Creation's formational capabilities)
were simply inserted into the video portion of the first lecture (mostly
near the beginning and the end, complete with 'new age' music added by the
    videotape crew).

    4. If I had my "druthers" I would have omitted most of the self-introduction
at the beginning (prepared at the request of the organizers) and included
the second, slide-illustrated presentation as an essential part of the
    two-lecture sequence.

Yes, there was a Q & A session, with written questions submitted after the
    first presentation.
