Burgy asked for comments on the work of my friend, David Griffin, one of the
premier advocates of process theism (a position I have little sympathy for
myself). Yes, he is a Whiteheadian. His view of God is much like that of
the Stoics, who saw God as the world soul but not the actual maker of heaven
and earth. For more on his thought, which is invariably expressed clearly
and honestly in his many writings, see his excellent little summary on
process philosophy and theology in the new Garland encyclopedia, Religion
and Science in the Western Tradition.
