    Hi Janet
Without viewing the said site, perhaps a refutation of their position
    are
the words of St Augustine, "Love the person, hate or reject the
    sinful
behaviour." Plenty of people identify with the position that if you do
not accept what I do you reject me. But that is a bit to close in
identifying "human nature" with "human being." There is a
    distinction.

Seems to me that that was the approach of the adulterous woman
    who
Christ told to "go and sin no more." I appreciate that this part of
John's Gospel is not in the most ancient manuscripts but the
    principle
    still applies. Peter Brunt

I looked at the site and find it appalling. It's difficult to love the
person and hate the words when all you meet is the words. My
reaction was similar to Michael Roberts' ; the hatred displayed on
the site goes against everything the gospel stands for. I guess I'm
just repeating what others have said so i'll let it go at that. Harry
