The year of Young's book The Biblical Flood is 1995.
The book gives a very extensive history of theories, commentaries,
Biblical interpretations, etc. relating to the Flood. It is primarily
historical although it contains some indications as to the author's
interpretations of the Genesis account. Although his emphasis is on the
church's response to extrabiblical evidence, it would be an excellent
resource for anyone interested in many other Flood-related topics.
The date of Evangelical Affirmations is 1990. Chapter 10 consists of papers
by Robert C. Newman, Pattle P. T. Pun, and Wayne Frair. The lead paper is
by Newman. It gives a summary of developments in several branches of modern
science, then a summary of evangelical responses (YEC, OEC, TE), and finally
a brief evaluation of these responses. Frair's paper generally agrees with
Newman. He also cites examples of scientists making essentially theological
statements related to scientific discoveries. Pun's paper promotes pro-
gressive creationism.
