I have heard from a number of you - some with suggestions - some with some
personal data. Thanks. There seems to be enough interest in finding out
the age distribution of reflectorites (of folks with e-mail addresses in
the evolution list) - enough to justify proceeding.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY WHAT FOLLOWS. I AM ASKING FOR MORE THAT YOUR AGE.

Please e-mail me at simons@stat.unc.edu, with subject heading "age
distribution", the following information:

1. Your current age.

2. The total number of months (approximately) you have been a reflectorite
(not necessarily continuously).

3. The number of times (approximately) you have submitted a message to the
forum in the last month.

4. List any of your e-mail addresses in the reflector list (evolution
list) OTHER THAN THE ONE YOU ARE USING RIGHT NOW TO SEND ME THIS
INFORMATION.

My intent is to keep all information other than the aggregate confidential.

The reason for items 2 and 3 is to help me stratify the information. The
assumption is that age and forum activity are correlated. We'll find out.

The reason for item 4 is to help me in a variety of ways - mostly to deal
with nonresponse error. If I don't hear from you, I plan to pester you.
(After that comes threats, letters to your boss, etc. Just joking!)

Please respond without further prompting.

If you have already supplied me with some data, please respond again with
the requested data in items 1-4 above.

Thanks. If folks cooperate, I'll report back the results.

Gordie
