My wife is not God. I know that. But she insists that disorganization is
tantamount to anarchy! Most scientist I know don't have neat offices. I
had a famous scientist tour my lab some years ago. I was apologizing for
the mess,and he said "You only have to apologize if its not a mess"! He had
apparently been touring some other labs on campus in the medical school
which appeared to him to be sterile. Everything was neat, nothing was being
done. Of course there can be plenty of mess with no work being done (my
kids rooms when they were teenagers!). Incidentally my own office is always
trying to get neat. I think we imagine God to be more orderly than
ourselves, and justifiably so!
