Thanks for pointing this out. It's perhaps worth noting again that
within the framework of classical general relativity the presence of
dissipation rules out any strictly cyclic model, though in the opposite
direction (i.e., by making oscillations grow rather than damping out).
Tolman showed this nearly 70 years ago but is always seems to be
forgotten by people who periodically (:)) try to resurrect cyclic
models. I don't know how such considerations would affect this new
model which makes use of brane theory.
