I have a copy of this which, if memory serves, I was given in
the early 1970s. The headline is "Alleged Bible 'Myth' Vindicated as
Historically True", & the ending is similar to what you quote. The
story is attributed to _The Evening World_ of Spencer, Indiana, though
the source of my copy isn't given. I have seen this several times since
then, & it was recounted to me once by a well meaning parishoner.
If you start with present initial data & calculate future
planetary &c positions, whatever happened with Joshua & Hezekiah
wouldn't have any effect. That & the statement about not wanting
satellites not to "bump into" anything should be a tipoff that this is
fraudulent, even if deeper issues are ignored.
