For those with a bit of time, Western Michigan University historian Paul
L. Maier has a great novel, _A Skeleton in God's Closet_. Filled with
historical detail and intimate acquaintance with archaeological method,
the premise is that archaeologists find the bones of Jesus along with a
very convincing story of how the hoax was pulled off. The book raises
issues about the historicity of the resurrection and the cruciality of
the resurrection for Christianity. It is a very good read, as they say.

As to the relation of this to the recent reports (which I have not heard,
but would expect to hear loudly here in Boulder), there is little.
