INSERTING REFERENCES INTO A WordPerfect MANUSCRIPT

• Launch EndNote and WordPerfect (or your favorite word processing application).
  
  
• To insert a reference into the manuscript, select the reference in your EndNote library and copy it to the Clipboard with the File, Copy command.
  
  
• Paste the reference into your WordPerfect document by placing the cursor where you want the reference to go and then using the File, Paste command. The pasted reference should look something like this: [Rose, 1994 #385]
  
  
• If the name of the author is listed in the text and you don't want it to appear in the reference, then delete the name of the author but leave the comma. E.g. [, 1994 #385]
  
  
• For multiple references at a single location in the text, remove all but the first and last bracket and separate references with semi-colons. E.g. [Rose, 1994 #385; Lattman, 1992 #388]
