Exactly! There is a core hypocrisy in the message of many New Atheist
leaders. While they like to drop the word "science" as often as they can,
then just as often abandon scientific thinking and replace it with rhetoric
and propaganda. It reminds me of an old All in the Family episode, where
Archie engages in all kinds of deception in order to baptize his grandson.
At one point, he tells Edith, "I'm going to get that kid baptized if I have
to break EVERY commandment to do it!" The New Atheists likewise seem to
have this position that says, "I'm going to get people to embrace science if
I have to use every tactic of propaganda to do it!"
