Are you happy now?"
Yes- I'm happy now, because I think that is the biggest message to get out to the evangelical church (DNA evidence for human evolution).
After I first heard about it years ago, I thought I'd write a book about it, since it impacted my life/theology so much (I first heard it on YouTube from Kenneth Miller). Later, Francis Collins and others are talking about it. I thought there's no need now for me to do anything now, because the word is out. However, I'm surprised that it is still not taking effect. I thought my fellow evangelicals would see it as fast as I. I now see that it will take many years- or may even have to wait until the current generation of evangelical leaders die out until the evangelical church accepts the modern and latest DNA evidence for evolution.
When one accepts human evolution from apelike creatures because of the DNA evidence, they then reject creation by fiat, which does away with YEC/OEC and all the corresponding theology. In fact, it creates a theological crisis... TE's should be ready for the "save" or else converts to human evolution will be lost to the atheists (since it may appear that evangelicals reject evolution and there's no better religion than evangelical Christianity). That was my story... and how I see it.

And my amended contribution is:
Being able to say how it MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED bears strongly on what
caused it to happen (be it evolutionary change, a fluke universe in
the Many Worlds Interpretation, mind boggling coincidence, or God
intervening).
Perhaps we'd better leave it there, because, as a result of Dennis's
fascinating explanation, through which I have learnt a great deal more
than I did from your contribution, we both agree that it did happen.
Are you happy now?
