Good idea.
Start it up. Put it on the web. Make a 5013c. Can we at least take a
public stance against YEC?

All,
You may regard this message as a stone thrown into the pond to see
what happens.
I'm wondering why the ASA does not identify itself in its name as
Christian or evangelical? Is it a stealth strategy or what? I throw
the idea in the subject line out, not as something I mean to push,
but as a question about why our name is not as straightforward as the
UK org CiS (Christians in Science). There is the obvious analogy to
the AAAS, of course.
This also relates to earlier discussions about whether the ASA should
try to attract people and perhaps other organizations into some sort
of more comprehensive association.
