Sorry, I was unclear. I was thinking that if satan's fall preceded
Man's fall then one cannot assume that there was not suffering or
pain or even evil already present in the physical world. The 2 are
not necessarily linked - Satans fall is not what MUST have caused
suffering in the natural world. Simply...if he was evil and present
before eden than we cannot assume that all was rosy on planet earth
either. In any event, I use these terms somewhat loosely as common
points of reference.

I tend to think of the genesis story as highly symbolic....not
literal so when I speak of pre and post eden I am speaking non-
literally.

Indeed, I have made the argument that death is actually a blessing -
 but sin has added the pain element and made death something to be
feared.
