When someone says something like that could it be that maybe what they
really mean is "How do Christians reach materialists?" But they are
confusing materialism with naturalism with evolutionary theory with
evolutionism? One wonders, do they know the difference between these four
concepts?
For example, do they know that Christians invented naturalism to counter the
pagan idea of a capricious universe? And that the original idea had
naturalism and design welded together in harmony? And that some Christians
later on broke that weld and separated design and naturalism to produce a
different sort of naturalism? Do they even realize they are primarily
fighting other Christians here, not atheists?
Until one deals with naturalism one cannot even begin to deal with the
person's real questions.
