Heya David,

Good comment by you, by the way. I'd agree that this is a subject that
definitely needs engaging - and that 'engaging' does not mean simply
accepting any and all criticisms, especially when coming from a perspective
that rules out the divine and/or miraculous from the outset.

A lot of the concern seems to specifically revolve around (as usual)
genesis. Not to rehash that discussion, but - I think a great way to help
introduce Christians (and possible Christians) to these ideas is not to pick
one specific viewpoint of the OT or Genesis, but to argue in favor of a
range of compatible perspective. So, for example, when it comes to YECs - my
personal goal is never to get them to reject their view in favor of mine,
but to understand why my view (and other possible views) remains compatible
with the view of the Bible as inspired, or even inerrant.
