GOD, NATURE AND DESIGN
Historical and Contemporary Perspectives
July 10th - 13th 2008.

CALL FOR PAPERS (further details):
Participants are invited to contribute a short paper, lasting no more than
20 minutes, to be read during this conference. A half-hour slot will be
allocated to the chosen papers, with 10 minutes for questions. Acceptance is
at the discretion of the organising committee.
Papers should be broadly relevant to the conference theme, God, Nature and
Design: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives. Possible topics include:
a.. the argument from design in its historical or contemporary forms
b.. divine activity in nature
c.. debates about intelligent design
d.. fine-tuning arguments
e.. the implications of evolutionary thought for theistic interpretations
of nature
An abstract of no more than 250 words (excluding title, names and keywords)
should be submitted to the Ian Ramsey Centre (clicking on this link will
open an email window to ian-ramsey-centre@theology.ox.ac.uk). Abstracts,
which must be received before the deadline of Friday, March 14th, should
give
1) the name, academic position and affiliation of the author(s) and
2) the title.
Decisions about acceptance of papers will be made by April 7th 2008.
(Please note that papers can only be accepted from those who attend the
conference in person.)
