Of possible interest: the Winter 2008 Christian Scholar's Review, just out,
has an excellent article by Calvin College Religion prof. Dan Harlow on
accommodation and the literary genre of Gen. 1-11. See here for abstract:

Unfortunately, Christian Scholar's Review is deep in the dark ages when it
comes to digital content, so there is no way to get full text articles
through their very 1990's website -- never mind the possibility of a blog.
But, CSR is a great resource for trends in scholarship within the
evangelical academy.
