the New Year! Thanks again to all those that came out to our 4th Annual
Christmas Social. It was our largest turnout ever with over 50 people and a
fun time was had by all! We look forward to another great year this year
with just as many great speakers and we are already off to a great start.
Mark your Calendar now for our first meeting of 2008 on Jan 31st!
cid:588525303@13012008-053FWe are pleased to announce a very special
out-of-town guest speaker, Dick Fischer, who is the Founder and President of
the Washington DC based Apologetics Ministry, the Genesis Proclaimed
Association. Dick will be presenting to us an overview of his upcoming book,
Historical Genesis from Adam to Abraham.
Historical Genesis from Adam to Abraham corroborates the Genesis 2-11
narrative about the Garden of Eden, the Genesis Flood, and the Tower of
Babel with the history of the ancient Near East. These well-known biblical
persons, places, and events are placed entirely within the bounds of
southern Mesopotamia, present-day Iraq, from about 7,000 to 4,000 years ago.
Dick Fischer is the founder and president of Genesis Proclaimed Association,
a ministry devoted to finding harmony in Bible, science, and history. Dick
has a Bachelors of Science degree, a Master's degree in theology and was
listed in Who's Who in Theology and Science. He belongs to the American
Scientific Affiliation, Alliance for Science, Christian Educators
Association International, Interdisciplinary Biblical Research Institute,
American Academy of Religion, and the Society of Biblical Literature. Dick
has had articles published in the Washington Post, Perspectives on Science
and Christian Faith, Teachers of Vision, and Cosmic Pursuit Magazine.
Research for the book <http://www.historicalgenesis.com/> , Historical
Genesis from Adam to Abraham, was conducted in the Library of Congress in
Washington, DC near to Fairfax, Virginia where Dick resides. Dick also
received a commission in the Air Force in 1961 and flew 164 combat missions
in Viet Nam.
