Certaintly the book should not be shelved purely alphabetically, but I do think it is high time that all religions stop seeing each other as blasphemers and start looking more for our common causes etc.? We no longer have the luxury to endure each other's assaults.? The world has become too small and technology too potent for us to do anything but try and make all men as equal in each other's eyes as they are in God's.? Soon the tools of our total destruction will be in the hands of our most discontent.? Such discontentment is no longer an aggravation the privileged can afford to endure, much less ignore.

I was passing along the concerns expressed by someone else. I think that
people have different expectations of their church library from what they
expect from other libraries. Unless there is some disclaimer, many church
members are likely to assume that the books in their church's library are
endorsed by the church, especially if they are placed alongside Christian
literature. Perhaps books published by other religions could be placed in
another clearly marked section. Such books, especially classic ones, are
quite appropriate for public libraries, university libraries, and maybe
even seminary libraries. I took a course in college in which I had to read
passages from works by Hitler and Stalin. That was fine with me because I
considered it good education to learn how other people thought.?
