My impression of Dawkins is that he actually is agreeing with popular
Johnson and Wells style ID on a number of points, e.g., evolution or
God, the validity of probabilistic arguments when we don't know the
probabilities, and being certain about the way the facts should point
allows you to confidently make up the facts. (Dawkins on religion and
history is about as accurate as creation science on earth history).
As they use similar arguments to prove opposite points, they together
demonstrate that the arguments are props for a pre-established
conclusion rather than an actually followed line of reasoning.
