Agreed. And this brings up a dilemma for those of us who would like a sober,
informed discussion: images, especially dramatic images, are powerful. If you
want to convince people that a situation is really serious, you show images of
disaster. To set the mood for an intelligent discussion is far more difficult.
Perhaps this is where ASA could be a real service to the Christian community:
by putting together a series of videos and/or talks on how dramatic images can
distort thinking.
