I remember that there was considerable hysteria over whether bar codes might be
the mark of the beast 20 or so years ago. Unfortunately I don't remember the
sources, although I think it came from other than Coral Ridge. I do remember
someone from the "Southwest Radio Church" going on about how the light sensor
used to brighten or dim a TV screen according to ambient lighting could be used
to spy on people, and this individual may also have said something about bar codes.
