Hi Iain, you wrote:

strong evidence to the contrary.

Is this what you meant, Dick?<<

Don’t be so sensitive. We’re fighting for men’s (and women’s) souls here.
We’re in a spiritual warfare. The other side fights dirty. And you want to
play paddy cake? My old man used to say, “Offense is defense.” Okay, it
wasn’t original with him, but the point is the same. It is not enough to
tout what you can substantiate and defend it, you have to stomp on the
charlatans too. Don’t be confused because they call themselves “Christians”
and wrap their poison in Scripture. They are paid assassins.

In Mere Christianity, C. S. Lewis said the devil “sends errors into the
world in pairs of opposites.”

He (the devil) relies on your extra dislike of the one error to draw you
gradually

into the opposite one. But do not be fooled. We have to keep our eyes on

the goal and go straight through between both errors.

Nobody said evangelism was for the faint of heart. So defend the truth as
you know it and expose the lies in equal measure. You have a better plan?
