Speaking of good programs, did anybody else catch this morning's
TechNation interview with Michael Shermer on NPR? I had heard of him
and his 'Skeptics' magazine, but I had never really paid much
attention. I'll be looking up his book 'Science Friction' to see what
more he has to say. If any of you already know him or want to hear the
interview, you can get the audio stream at:
http://www.itconversations.com/shows/detail425.html
It's for a wider lay audience, of course, -- not a technical
discussion. But for those who like to 'evangelise' science to a wider
society and follow impressions and trends, it is fascinating. I'm
reminded of Polkinghorne & his concerns for how society and science
interact.
