If this report is correct it's one more indication that the differences between communist & Nazi ideologies was not as great as often suggested - especially by those sympathetic to the USSR. Marxist philosophers like to claim that their view of the future of evolution is essentially one of the evolution of society, with education playing a fundamental role (hence Lysenko), while Naziism was a reversion to a purely biological idea of survival of the fittest in the crudest sense. But this scheme of Stalin sounds akin the attempts of the SS to breed Uebermenschen by mating superior Aryan specimens. Of course Marxists will try to claim that Stalin was an abberation from the true Marxist-Leninist line but I think that that notion has long since been disposed of.

Shalom
