To present a "mechanism" for the effect seems to me most difficult. I
take the matter as a fact from what observations I've read about and from
Paul's statement. The alternative seems to require that the whole just
is, without explanation. Only some sophisticated (sophistical ?)
individuals seem to arrive at that approach.
