In any war you need to find the front. Denyse is concerned about the
suppression of dissent of Evangelical Christians. It may be the case that
the ASA will fade into oblivion. But, I predict that Denyse's church (if she
still is a Canadian Anglican) will implode long before that happens.
Organizations like the ASA have been moderately successful in getting the
secular world to allow scientific Christians in their midst and to admit
they are legitimate. By the way, that is ASA's point, not proving TE or ID
or YEC.

From what I hear from my Anglican and Episcopal friends, the same is not
true of the hierarchies of the Anglican Church in Canada and the ECUSA in
US. In my opinion, the intolerance of Evangelicals and conservative
Anglo-Catholics there has risen to the level of persecution. Our First
Amendment was crafted because of the intolerance of dissent within the
Anglican Church and from what I can tell from the outside it is happening
again. Denyse's energies would be better spent trying to save her church
than the ASA. Please go to the front. They need you there. We're just
involved with a side skirmish.
