There are plenty of legal issues involved and everything is well
documented. But I really hope that it doesn't come to a court case.
The issue has already become far to politicized.

What has been good is that the scientific, and increasingly the
religious community, has been activated and is aware of the issues.
This bodes well for the long term solution -- which is improved public
understanding. The scientific community has also been very responsive
to opposing the false evolution vs creation conflict view.
