You're right of course; I didn't mean to give the idea that we could
wordsmith an ASA position statement on this forum.

But I think what I wrote also serves as my feedback about what I "want ASA to
be." I want it to take some voice in the debate. Not a voice that excludes
any Christian based solely on how they read Genesis or on how they think God
created. But a voice that does stand up against those who damage the cause of
the Gospel by communicating that their opposition to the findings of science
is the ONLY acceptable Christian view. And I think a statement along the
general lines I suggested would be one way of doing that.
