I am not sure why I am getting involved in this discusiion, but it seems
to me the crucial question is the position of the three peer reviewers.
We would really need to know who they are to go much further with this
discussion. The important question is whether they were in any way
chosen by Sternberg because they might be somewhat sympathetic towards
the Meyer view.
Second, what sort of individual goes and gets two Ph.D.'s back to back,
and then emphasizes this in his vitae? Virtually all the people I know
go on and do a postdoc after getting one Ph.D (who needs all that grief
again).
