I wouldn't disagree. All I can say is that there are people in the church
who are trying. I think those of us in "mainline churches" (not a term I'm
crazy about) are doing a decent job of trying to conscientize our own
members, though there's still quite a ways to go. What we need to make much
more of an effort with is serious theological dialogue and debate with
"evangelicals" (again a less than precise term but I think you know what I
mean).
