Fruit flies and our co-inherited disease-riddled ancestry

Oddly enough, since I just spoke of "fruit flies" below, another item
regarding fruit flies was recently sent to me:

"Out of three hundred genes associated with particular diseases in fruit
flies, two hundred are also found in humans."
