In a cynical moment I would be inclined to suggest that what Phil stated was
probably never intended to function as an actual prediction, but rather as a
public insult of all Christians who find the scientific concept of evolution
to be far more credible than ID's rhetorical claims to have scientific
evidence to the contrary.
